Two weekends ago, we celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary. For the occasion, we wanted to take a small trip for an extended weekend, so we headed out to Brandenburg, where we stayed in a little bungalow on the shores of the Grimnitzsee. It was a nice break from busy city life, in that it was peaceful and quiet, and there was also no reliable internet. So we spent our time cooking and eating on the patio, walking through the woods, reading and listening to books, painting nails, and just enjoying time as a family. We’d had high hopes for a beach day, but unfortunately, the weather didn’t cooperate. Even so, we still made the most of our time together. All in all I had a good time and would gladly repeat it at another spot in Brandenburg. I’ve been hoping to spend more time traveling around and getting to know Germany, and this was a good start to that.
