A Sucker for Succulents

It feels like our vacation to Canada was only a month ago, when in reality it was four months ago. Today in Berlin, it’s been non-stop raining all day, and though summer is still officially here for a couple more weeks, the temperatures have already dropped and that autumn feel has set in. So when I look back at pictures of our last day in Montreal, on our visit to the Botanical Garden, I’m amazed. Because on that day in mid-May, there was so much that wasn’t yet in bloom. It was also cool and overcast, with an obvious lack of green foliage. And now here we are again, the summer nearly gone. Because of the plants and flowers laying in wait, we didn’t spend as much time outdoors as we normally would have, and instead we headed for the greenhouses (which I love to see anyway). I’m a sucker for succulents, and not only was the warmth inside nice, but it was fun to see the plants and all the cool shapes, sizes, and patterns. I could look at them for hours. I’m really partial to hanging succulents, though cacti remind me of childhood visits to Arizona. What are your favorite succulents?
