Reuterkiez. It’s home to some of my top spots in Berlin, most notably the Turkish Market on Maybachufer (which I hit up at least once a week in the summer), and Burrito Baby (where M. and admittedly go every two weeks or so). But surprisingly enough, although I am in the neighborhood regularly, it’s most often passing through on a bike, which admittedly doesn’t allow for getting a genuine feel of the area. So I took advantage of one of the first warm days of the year, back in April, to walk to the market and enjoy a detour on the way home. I also happened to stumble across a lot of street art. (Also, I know the last picture is on Glogauer Straße, a block out of the boundaries of the Kiez, but the library had books about cats on display, with cat art by schoolchildren, and naturally, I couldn’t resist.)
